Who the fuck is my spirit animal? I called my friends, asked their opinions, and we just couldn't come up with a good answer. I figured it would come to me sooner or later, and sure enough, after sharing a fat blunt with some friends and chugging a can of cheap beer, last night it hit me.

I can't believe it took me a week to figure this out, but I think it's because she's been avoiding the public eye for years now, and I almost, almost forgot about her. I was obsessed with Ke$ha in 2010, when her singles Tik Tok and Take It Off were dominating the charts. I mean, we are ridiculously similar in our personalities.
1. Glitter. I fucking love glitter. She would pour beer on herself and roll in glitter before performances, and I would always dous myself in glitter before parties!
2. She's actually an avid academic. As a teenager, she used to sneak into college lecture halls and listen in for fun, something I'm mad I never did haha! We both love to learn new things in all manner of subjects!
3. Parties. Oh damn, do I love a good house party. I love beer, I love taking shots, I love dancing, I love the high energy, the loud music, everything about it. I don't party as much as I used to, but I still love the spirit of it!
4. We actually have the same struggles with anxiety and depression. We both constantly compare ourselves to others, and we both care way too much about what other people think, even if we don't like to admit it. That's a huge part of why she's staying out of the public eye and why she sought rehabilitation for her eating disorder and mental illnesses.
5. We just want everyone to cut the shit and just be happy and have fun! I hate how so many people take everything in their lives so seriously! Chill out and have a beer man, it's all good 👌
I hope she goes on tour again, and I really hope I can meet her one day, and maybe tell her how much her music really meant to me as a teenager, and still does. So what if it's just mindless party music? It's sole purpose is for fun, it's not meant to be taken so seriously! She will always be my teenage icon, and I don't think that fun spirit will ever really leave me ❤
