What's your view on dating/relationships?

Hey again SG land,

I'm a single girl and I often wonder about dating and relationships. People always say that 'you know' when you have found 'the one.' This seems true for a few people that I know. Their relationships seem flawless. I envy these couples.

I feel as though I like the idea of being in a relationship until I actually get into one and then I'm like "fuuuuck that!" HAHA And dating...ugh dating is a whole other story. Like what is dating anyways? Dating to me would be like that point where you are just seeing whats out there...you're dating, not in a relationship, nothing is serious.

Are we even meant to be with only one person? Other mammals have many partners throughout their lives, they don't just stick to one in particular. Do we see this as wrong because we are told by society that having multiple partners makes us a slut or a whore? Just to be straight, I have a really hard time finding someone that I am even interested in having sexual relations with, I'm just getting you to think.

There is so much more on this topic that I could speak about but I'd really like to here your thoughts and opinions before I type so much that you stop reading. :)

A couple of years ago I found myself single  again after a 13 year relationship that I thought would be forever. At first things were tough, but after some time I dipped my toe back into the dating world. Putting myself on various dating apps was a nervous time, but I began talking to a few women. To cut a long story short, I’ve been on dates and had brief relationships with a couple of women. I’m so glad I put myself out there again! The women I’ve met have taught me just how good things can be, and made me realise that I’d spent 13 years being miserable. I really have grown these past couple of years and now I know what I’m worth and what I deserve. Dating does suck, but believe me that good things can come from it 😊
