I spent Tuesday through Thursday in Reno and Tahoe with Anthony. It was a very enjoyable and much needed get away. He loved the "sexy" pictures. We enjoyed meals at two fantastic casino restaurants, a seafood steak house and an Italian restaurant. Both places had waiters in tuxes and the food was TO DIE FOR! Of course most of the plates started around $38 a platter, but IT WAS WORTH IT!
Anyway, today was autoX (autocross) school... SOOOOO much fun! I actually feel like I learned, bonded with my car more, and gained a little more of my driving confidence back. I can NOT believe how much more predictable my Mustang is then my Miata. If the backend went out on me in my Miata it would very rarely show a sign, but the Mustang is the exact opposite. If the backend starts to get loose, you are the first to know about it before you end up in a spin.. IT'S GREAT! I feel like I am driving my old Pontiac Trans Am again! All V8 and lots of torque!
She may not be much to look at, but I have beat down a lot of egos and ate a lot of road with her! *sigh*
Well, tomorrow is the race.. We will be competing against other students and the instructors, but really - it'll be a test of what we learned and whether or not we apply it. God I hope I can retain everything!!!

UPDATE...
The following day I did REALLY well, according to a lot of various people. My instructor said I almost beat him, but I am pretty sure I did 'cuz I don't remember him breaking 40 seconds.. As far as my class is concerned, all the people who ran with me - Anthony said I was the fastest. Ultimately I think the class was very beneficial and has helped work out a few of my quirks. I just hope I can keep it up and actually be a competitive party in the races the year!
you know....i think you're absolutely right!
congrats on the race!
