I went to the bar down the street last night. I haven't been in a bar for over 20 years. I thought I check this one out because it's so damm close to my house I could cwarl home if I had too. I got there around 8:30 and figured I would have 2 beers and something to eat. I was very humgry do to the fact I hadn't eatin all day. Sat down at the end of the bar because it was the only sit left open. I noticed as I was walking around the bar that most of the people sitting there were men or couples. I looked up at the tv and saw the Eagles first home game on. I then realized most of these people were he to watch football. I left around 10:30 and the crowd hadn't changed, mostly men and couples. Maybe it was a bad night to go to this bar and see what it was really like. I will try agian some other time. The food was okay nothing to write home about. They did have a nice selection of beers on tap and iced mugs.
My daugther told me last week that I need to go find a women. That she had enough of me looking at every women who walked by. I pointed out that she had be checking out the hot bartender ever since we arrived at our table and she had a boyfriend. We both just smiled at each other.
I heard this saying, the other day on tv; "me and my mother are freakestly linked". I thought about my daughter and me. I realized we are freakestly linked. We talk about everything. It is a relationship I could have only dreamed about having with my children. It makes me very happy they tell me everything that is going on in their lives.
My brother and his wife both asked me, at different times, if my tattoos was permanent. What am I to say to this? No! My daughter wanted to draw on me and I forgot to wash it off or it's a iron on. I thought my family was cooler then that.
I went out last week and brought Bill Maher's new book "New Rules". I will leave you with one of his new rules, it's titled; Anchors Away;
"Stop calling the media "elite" and "liberal" and start calling it what it really is-lazy. It came out recently that the Bush administration has been producing its own "news" segments, complete with their own "correspandents" and sending them off to local news outlets who aired them untouched. No wonder Hunter Thompson blew his brains out. I'm sorry, but local news is not the place for goverment propaganda; it's the place for car chases, kittens caught in trees, and a "meteorologist" whose previous job was at Hooters."
Have a nice weekend.

i hope i have the same type of relationship with my kids that you have with your daughter. Mine are so young right now, it's hard to tell how our relationship might unfold...
