There is nothing more breathtaking than watching the sun rise with friends. Curled up together against the water, with the wind at our backs and the sunlight on our faces, we faced the day with a courage and a resolve befitting of such a great city. Never before have I been so taken by such beauty, and it is likely that it will not happen again soon. Jolly managed to document the entire experience, and therefore pictures are on their way. For those of you who were not there: I wish that I could have shared this with you all, but sometime soon the night will be recreated. I have had a rough few days, but last night made it all up--crouched in silence, watching the sun bathe the world and freshen everything just makes all feelings of discontent and distress evaporate like the night sky, banished to the darkest corners of the world in the face of something so brilliant and new.
