Ross starring in: Don't Save Us From The Flames
So now i know why i'm going for the meal today.
Its my friends (sean) birthday and its to celebrate that.
I of course had completely forgotten, in my defense i thought it was later in the month like the 11th or something.
So last night started off quite swimmingly.
A few friends arrived at my doorstep, we listened to some cracking 'tunes' drank a few beers and headed out early.
Frequenting at our local bar as per usual we played a fair few games of pool. I started out on dynamite form crushing all opponents that rose to face me.
However things would take a turn for the sour. I learned just before we got out of the car to head to the pub that Seans girlfriend had dumped him the day before his birthday.
Nice move.
Ok so we're playing pool and i've failed to notice that she's in the corner of the room doll'ed up to the nines.
Her friends are taking it in turns to come up to Sean as he's playing pool and call him a liar.
Bear in mind i've known him.... about 10 years, and i seriously dont believe i've ever heard him lie. Or bitch about people, or be mean to anyone.
So with this in mind, her friends are coming over saying things like "yeah but your a liar". Oh happy birthday by the way... You liar.
So i start cutting in with things such as, "Could you go away, your ruining my friends 21st birthday"
I dont swear and say it moderately friendly. But i probably should swear, and i probably should stamp on their faces.
So basically they'd been in the course of falling out for the past 2 weeks, Sean had gone to his dad for advice on it all and his dad had decided it was probably best his girlfriend didnt go round theirs while they were going through a rough patch. Sean tells her this and obviously she tells her mom in some form. Oh and also acts all shocked like she didnt know anything about them going through a rough time.
My guestimate is that she's high maintainance.. well i know she's high maintenace but i guess that means all her relationships run along these lines, her bossiness just being normal. Thus the her suprise at Sean trying to be his own person a little more.
Her mom rings Seans dad probably concerned that they'd caught them sleeping together or some crap along those lines (her parents are pretty darn strict).
So his dad explains the whole rough patch thing as Sean listens and she basically dumps sean soon after that.
Where in that does the lying come about?
Now those listening may say, well your his friend your bound to be biased. However like i have said Sean is the most honest person i know. As for her, i could of seen this behaviour coming from a mile away. Bear in mind she's younger so immaturity was always a risk.
So we're trying to have a good night whilst they all take it in turns to come over and verbally abuse Sean. Happy birthday.
Ok so what annoyed me at one point was a girl called Steph.
Partway through her calling Sean a liar and ruining the mood once again (we'd moved to a different bar, she'd followed as she's semi-seeing our other friend) she then comes out with this little gem.
Steph - "Well if she wanted you back would you say yes?"
Sean - "Not now no."
Steph - "So your just annoyed because she got to dump you first"
Sean - "No when she dumped me i felt like shit, i just stared out of the window for about 10 minutes because i was knocked back by it that much. There isnt anything she could say right now to make me feel much worse than i already do"
Steph - "So you wouldnt take her back"
Sean - " No"
Steph - "So your just annoyed that she dumped you first"
Ross(me) - "Someone ditching you and then telling their friends your a liar and having them treating you like shit on their birthday does make a difference"
Steph - "Oh thats such a guy way of looking at things"
WHAT!?
