Chapter 212: Its Been A While
I used to enjoy writing my little journal entries under the title "The Rosspel" dont ask me why, i think i was out drinking once (suprise) and someone used that phrase, it may well have been our very own Septembre.
Either way, i think i'll start using it again and possibly start writing proper journal entries while i'm at it.
This one however wont be one of them, i'm hungry and will soon be going out for food.
Lets recap the past few days.....
Friday
As i'm quite the lazy individual instead of getting up at 9am and trying to get my haircut i got up at around about 11am and didnt have the time. My job interview was at 1pm.
I put on my shiniest shoes (almost zero shine) a shirt and tie, slapped my hair down with some gel and ran (yes thats right ran) to my job interview. It was one of those selection day things which although if i'd given it some thought would have anticipated, i didnt so was a little suprised when i strolled into a room of about 30 people of varying ages all with their little name badges and numbers.
The interview process went as thus:
Examples of previous work experiences where you've helped people or done something diabolically wonderous.
A phone roleplay (the clean kind) where you talk to a customer (not 'customer') and help them out with their problem (not code for something else).
A numeracy test.
A hand written email response style thing.
It was all mildly interesting and it took around 3 hours. I fluffed the end of the phone roleplay as i didnt think to say goodbye to the person i was speaking to on the phone, i couldnt remember his name you see.
Saturday
Sky's birthday spectacular, i woke up and got ready to head out, my train was at 11.30am. I left the house giving me enough time to casually stroll there but by the time i got over halfway i realised i'd forgotten my switch card that i needed to get my FASTtickets with. Cue running home (yes running) and then running back to the train station. The last 4 coaches and trains i've caught from Nottingham i've had to run to them, you'd think i'd be learning to give myself a little more time.
Once arriving in London i met up with Foralways and we headed off to The Ship. We were first there but soon enough Sky joined us after doing her usual trick of getting lost on the way.
More people arrived and soon enough i was on my 5th pint while others were on their 2nd. My problem with drinking is i have one pace, usually it works but say for example if you start at 2pm it might be a little flawed.
I dont have too much gossip of interest to report, i was drunk and probably my usual idiot like self. It was lovely to see all of you again and ALOT of new faces for me... still i am quite the new-comer to these SGUK meet type things.
Sunday
Me and the Foralways watched some football, sat in a garden, ate steak and ended up in a Casino.
Today
Myself and foralways will be heading out for some food, its much too late and we would have eaten sooner but i got my haircut.
Interesting update sometime soon i promise.
This has been your Rev. Rosscoe.
Keep living on the edge with Jesus.
