Following Up On Ideas
Oh, I hand them this life
To do what they will
They've got to find their way from here
(Oh, show us the way)
If they only knew
(Oh, show us the light)
Show them what light?
It shines from within
You make your own day
You make your own night
And sometimes you win
(Oh, show us the way)
But you always get through
(Oh, show us the light)
Oh, why do they come and ask for more?
They've got stars they don't have wishes for
They're just givin' up their blame to me
How do the fools survive?
So for the past few years i've been saying i'm going to do things and then not doing them. Just kind of making up stupid excuses not to bother doing things because i'm too lazy or whatever other reasons i can fathom at the time.
There's been quite a few ideas, i was quite prolific in a random sense when i was younger but i'll keep it relavent to the present. My current idea started off being an animated cartoon that me and some friends would do the voice acting for. I wrote out full scripts for 3 episodes and partial scripts for the next 4. I started animating and realised it was far too much effort for far too little reward, I just couldnt be arsed basically.
So then what did i think? Turn it into a webcomic that would be alot less work, even i could do that right?
I convinced myself i couldnt start until i had a graphic tablet, absolute bullshit. I've now had one since December and not only have i not drawn a single panel of my webcomic i've barely touched it at all.
However tonight for no apparent reason i picked up a pen and started planning out the panels for the first few editions of my webcomic. Its probably going to be shit but for once i figure i should follow through on an idea and find out. Once i've done about 10 of these sketched out ideas i figure i'll start using the graphic tablet and putting them onto the internet. I figure i'll put up new ones about 2-3 times a week giving me a few weeks headstart and actually putting some use to my website which has been abandoned ever since i semi-designed the site.
I dont do funny in planned out thinking, i do funny about once a day in particular circumstances so you can expect this to end up being trainwreck bad
I hope i am capable of giving this a proper go though i need to change my ways, this is a step to doing that.
Wish me luck xx
