So it has been a long time since I blogged but here goes. First off a big thanks for whoever is fronting this operation; I am back on with a gift account that I still do not know who to thank for. Ok where to start. Things I have done this past year or so:
- worked through major set backs in my M.Sc. project
- dealt with someone trying to scam my intellecutal property rights (may be ongoing I will keep you all posted)
- went to an Opera for the first time
- been through a very sad break up with a live in boyfriend because we were not in love
- fallen in love
- been on my first wine tour
- been to Europe for the first time
- lost my passport in Chicago airport and almost got stuck there for a week
- started learning German
- wrote my first cirriculum vitae
- raised a buttload of cash for a few awesome charities and got to run a relay and paddle a dragonboat for it
- had my bestest of best Saskatoon gal pals move away on me
- realized a few unfortunate things about a few unfortunate people
- met some of my friends awesome little people for the first time
- decided to move to Germany this summer/fall to be with the man I love and pursue the field I love
- decided I love leather bomber jackets and do not care if people think I look like a hobo, the fonz or a skid
- fell in love with The Big Bang Theory
- ate black truffle and monk fish for the first time and now feel qualified to judge iron chef
- had jaw surgery
- jumped off a lighttower/bouy thing into a lake and severly bruised my backside in a graceless splash
- broke up a dog fight (actual dogs) and lived to tell the tale
- climbed a fence in a mini-skirt to take pictures with a holstein
- joined a rugby team and lived to tell about it
- discovered a love of lox (smoked salmon)
- had braces--- then had braces removed
- scored a goal on my own team in indoor soccer (mildly embarassing especially when the other team decided to applaud)
- decided that I will be cool forever, as my 50yr old mother just found out that she didnt so much hurt her back while surfing a tube tied to the back of her motorboat but actually broke it and kept going. Shes pretty hardcore... no big deal
- taught my first classes (a fourth year biotechnology laboratory and a first year introduction to agriculutre class) and thoroughly enjoyed it
- learned how to save a bit of money and have now saved a bit of money for this years big move, vacations and furniture once I am there
So that is me for now. However after a quick review I have decided that I have a terrible memory and most of those things have happened in the last 6 months or so and not actually over the last year. Oh well that will leave something to tell you later. I probably will be MIA until after the 1st as my one and only is moving back to Berlin on Wednesday and I need to get in some QT. Fortunately for the rest of my interweb pals I will most likely be very bored and lonely after Wednesday and you will therefore probably see alot of me. Anyways back to life. Thanks again to my sponsor whoever you are.
Oh and I will also try to add some new photos from this year. Since I am realizing now that everything on here is quite old.

If you move to Deutchsland, you have to come visit us all in Vancouver first!
It clearly says so in section 81b of the contact contract.
