So post xmas update.... I did manage to make it home for christmas and some of boxing day which was great. My big brother Marksman303 had to beat me up a little bit before giving me my first iPod for christmas. It is super neat and plays videos and things so Im super excited about it. I used it all day yesterday while working at the chicken barns. I think the birds assumed Id gone mad as I was dancing around the alleyways to what they must have thought was their clucking.
The iPod actually came as quite a surprise, as I htought my bro had just gotten me this SG account for christmas which would have been an awesome present in itself. However he spoils me rotten every xmas so I should have known better. THANK YOU BROTHER! I feel a little guilty though as I was totally broke this year and only managed to wrangle a working record player to give him. While difficutl to find it was not nearly as expensive as an iPod. However he does own some vinyl so now he will be able to play it. I think its funny how he gave me top of the line new music technology and I gave him something htat hasnt been used by the general public in 30 years.
My mother also spoiled me with some money for gas/rent etc, grocery store gift certificates and a terry cloth bathrobe that I have basically been living in for the past week (when Im not at work that is).
Nobody is back from xmas holidays yet so I am currently housesitting for my good friend. It has been nice to have the quiet time with just me, the cat and the chickens. "Snuggles (aka Hotdog), the cat, is very sweet but gets unbearably clingy. She is not used to be alone and after being gone for 8hrs a day and not having anyone else to play with she is basically glued to me full time. I have to pee with the door open (Im not a fan despite the fact that I am alone in the house) or she will rip up the carpet around the door. Everytime I roll over in the night she assumes it is me waking up to play and gets her whiskery little face about an inch from mine and starts meowing and batting at me. Is this normal cat behaviour or have I just been living with an odd breed? I have lived with cats before, like Rinsters Misty Blue cat and she was definately not htis clingy. However everyonce in awhile when you were sleeping she would bellyflop your face and she has a rather plump belly. Hmmm...
I just realized I have written half a blog about cats and I neither own one, or am a "cat person". Dear lord! Some one needs to come home to s'toon so I can excercise some conversation skills! Hopefully there are some left to excercise.
