So I had a good weekend. Worked Saturday night & got my ass kicked. We were so busy that night that I only got a chance to take maybe a 30 minute nap. So since I had been up since 11 am, I was super tired when I got off Sunday morning. Annnnd did not make it to the parade. Damn it all to hell!!!
I passed out for about 5 hours. I was dead to the world. Anyhow I did end up going out later on that afterrnoon. I went to this local bar by my friend's house. Drank for about 7 hours & had a blast. I had like 5 car bombs.
What's in a car bomb:
1/3 glass of guiness
1/2 shot of jamesson
1/2 shot of bailey's irish creme
You take the shot glass & drop it in the guiness & chug it. Yeah those things are awesome. I drank a little more than that. Got a chance to hang out with a few friends I hadn't really hung out with in a long time. So was a good night.
So for those of you who don't know. I am a certified CPR instructor. So if you need a license I am your woman.
Actually my supervisors at work didn't know this. I dont know how considering that you have to have a cpr card in order to work on an ambulance. So now that they know I'm an instructor, they want me to teach some classes. The company does it for the nursing homes we have as contracts. So I said I'd do it, it's extra cash anyway. As long as I have Blair a good friend of mine as my side kick. So I'll be doing my initial class sometime in the next couple weeks.
I had a really cool call yesterday. My inner child was happy. We got sent to go pick up a team from another hospital. But this team was a team of 1 flight nurse & 1 flight medic. They landed their helicopter in the middle of a huge park. They had 4 squad cars with their lights on so they knew where to land. They were picking up this guy who was seriously ill. He ended up getting carbon monoxide poisoning & was on a breathing machine. We picked them up took them to the hospital. They got the patient & we dropped them off back at their helicopter. The coolest part was watching the helicopter taking off. That was awesome as hell.
So there ya go, quite an interesting weekend. It was exciting & this feels like it's gonna be a good week too.
