It was an interesting weekend. I worked the Jimmy Buffet concert Saturday. It wasn't too bad, actually. A lot, a lot of drunk people around. Most of them were completely wasted. It was quite amusing to see. I got there a little late cause I had to attend a b-day party for my goddaughter 1st. The employee parking lot was full so I had to park with the rest of the concert goers. I ended up parking like 5 miles away. Ok, not really 5 miles but it was pretty far though.
My partner and I kept on having drunk people come up to us the whole concert. Telling us how great of a job we're doing. How we need to get paid more. Offering us a beer, which I did want one, but obviously couldn't. We did get this young guy who was 20 who was completely wasted out of his mind. He was from out of state. So there was a guardian with him who happened to be a physician's assistant. The guardian asked us if we had iv fluids we could give this guy. So, I said yes we do but we're not going to do it. He needs to go back to the 1st aid tent & sober up. This was before we knew he was 20. Once we found out we told the guardian he either needed to leave or get arrested for under age drinking. He was a little upset with us cause we wouldn't hook him up with iv's. Just because you say you're a p.a. doesn't mean you actually are one. I didn't see any credentials. That guy was an idiot cause he had 30 kids with him.
We ended up going to the bar after the concert. It's becoming a routine to head to the neighborhood bar after concerts. They know us & they usually hook us up with a couple of free beers. We actually got a free shot this time around. The guy that was there had never seen us before. We ended up getting carded, which got the both of us off guard.
Work this week was pretty quiet. Nothing too exciting happened. I had a nice day lounging around the house yesterday. I got some cleaning in. I'm finishing up my 3rd load of laundry since yesterday. For the past 3 weeks I was only washing clothes as I needed them. I had been pretty busy I hadn't gotten a chance to wash properly. Damn, summer is almost over, it's crazy. It's going by so quick.

the first mistake that other person made was saying the kid was 20, oops. that and it seems weird for me for someone to go up to you and ask you for IV bags, that is really weird.
you always have the whackiest stories...in a way i love to read them and in a way i feel bad for the parade of weirdness you live with. though i guess you get used to it and wouldn't keep your job if you couldn't take it. but still. you see the mondo beyondo of humanity.
you still get carded?
everyone always thinks i'm 18 or 19 no matter how well i dress. and then they say "you'll be glad you look this young when you're 35." sigh. i guess they're right but it's still annoying
i had a great time with the girls. which is good because now i have to buckle down and pack. and omg, i have a pile of laundry that is going to eat me alive. isn't it weird how it all piles up so fast?
