It was sort of a surprise. One of my co-workers kind of spilled the beans. He kept saying: I know you're going to get it, I just know it. I would of been upset had someone else gotten employee of the year after being told that.
Not much went on this week. Just worked, nothing exciting. Last weekend was a good one though. Went out to dinner for my friend's b-day. That girl has no tolerance for liquor. I've tried & tried to build it up for the past 4 years. How far have I gotten? 2 1/2 margaritas, that's it. She's my one failure.
All kidding aside dinner was good. She did get tipsy & started getting queasy. So what did we do?
We started iv's on her (2). She felt better afterward though.
The next day we had our x-mas company party. That was pretty cool. Druken people making fools of themselves is always a lot of fun. I got some cash for being one of 3 employees of the year. I was the only paramedic to get that. I also got a clock with my name engraved on it for being with the company for 5 years. That is a looong time.
Afterwards we went to a bar to continue drinking. My one supervisor did a shot of tequila with me. She was tipsy which was interesting to see.
I havent done any x-mas shopping yet. I really need to get on that. It's so hard to shop for people. Some people I'm just getting gift cards for. Hey it's better than nothing.
