This past weekend my wife and I spent the weekend in San Francisco for a little getaway. My wife is pregnant and is due towards the end of April so with our life about to change we figured we would get some fun time in.
We went to the City on Friday morning and went to the California Academy of Science and walked around Golden Gate Park. They have all sorts of exhibits including an aquarium, a rainforest, an albino alligator and a bunch of other cool stuff. While a lot of the stuff there was cool, it was so busy it was hard to get around the place. The coolest part though was definitely the rainforest part. They had all sorts of butterflies and birds flying around you. It made the visit worthwhile.
We checked into our hotel in the afternoon. We got a deal on a room at Harbor Court Hotel down on the Embarcadero. Rooms are regularly 250 a night and we got ours for 85. They have a free wine reception at 5 and warm cookies and milk at 9. Those are some free perks I won't turn down. The hotel used to house military personnel before they shipped out for the wars. They were also part of the YMCA. The rooms are smaller as they used to be the soldiers quarters but it was still a nice room.
We went to dinner at Trademark which is on Belden Place. It's this little side street that has a bunch of restaurants that all have outdoor patios and it seems like a small little piece of Europe.
We met up with some friends for some drinks before hitting the sack for the night.
Saturday we got up and went to the Farmers Market over at the Ferry building, looked around in the shops and had lunch at Taylors Refresher.
Later we headed up to Market St. to meet our friend that works on the Cable Cars. He got us on the line heading down to Ghirardelli Square and said he would meet up with us later as he was on a different line. We toured around Ghirardelli Square and walked down some of the Wharf before heading back. On the Cable car ride back to Market, we got to the top of one of the hills and weren't able to go any further. An apartment fire and just started and the fire department had their hoses across the track. We waited a bit and our friends cable car was 3 streets back so we walked down and met up with him and rode the cars with him for a while.
After touring around the City on the cable cars we went to Goat Hill pizza over on Potrero. It's my favorite pizza place in the Bay Area.
Sunday we grabbed a quick breakfast and then went down to Fishermans Wharf and the Muse de Mechanique. Every time we go to the Wharf, we go to the Muse Mechanique and get pictures in one of the photo booths. They have all sorts of old video games, pin ball machines and other mechanical type devices. It's always a fun place to kill some time at. The only bad part of the weekend was knowing that we had to go back to work on Monday.

A lot of girls leave because of that. People get to see them naked in their sets while the girl doesn't get paid. I know I'm just one person but I'm gonna try and make CURVY part of SG again
