Today I had one of those wonderfully pointless job interviews that we only seem to get in the arts world. I was invited to a rather nebulous interview at a large theatrical institution, and was promptly told there was no job. Why interview me? Why, to find out about me and to invite me to keep them posted about what I'm up to. Couldn't they have told me this in an e-mail?
Stupid people and stupid arts and nonsense. I wish I was a plumber.
On the upside, I went cd shopping. Yay!

I bought The Postal Service, Minus the Bear. Also got Lowgold at a bargain price. Postal Service is ok but I prefer Gibbard in Death Cab for Cutie. Minus the Bear wasn't all I was hoping it would be, and Lowgold is adequate mainstream rock... but at a bargain price.
I also ordered Carissa's Wierd, an awesome indie band, sadly not the sort of thing normal cd shops carry.
it's all done and dusted now, I just haven't updated for bloody ages.
I love those weird interviews we get. Where you sit talking vaguely about pleasantries for ages, when you both know one of you wants a job, and the other has one to offer. we need to be more American about this I reckon.
go on, where was it for?
