I've spent the last decade of my life waiting around for something I should have known wasn't going to happen. I think I'm done with that. Time to move on. See what else is out there. It was a nice dream while it lasted.

Yeah, suburban Los Angeles to suburban Bratislava was quite an adjustment for me as well. It really doesn't register until you're there, does it? For me it was all the little things. The things you take for granted as being "normal" in your hometown. Not so normal when you leave it. Even shopping turned into an adventure. Truly excellent stuff.
