This last session of D&D introduced a new player, playing a Minotaur barbarian. So the party was attacked by giants and our new friend, Rassani, came in to help with the giants. A Knight of the Griffon Brotherhood, the personal bodygaurds of the Emperor, also came by the help the giants. After slaying the giants, Sir Gajoun Arju asked for assistance from the party to help attack a dwarven outpost. The party, already on quest to stop the war with the Centaurs chose not start another diplomatic incident. The Knight left as the party did not want help him.
They got to learn a little bit about Rassani, that she never trained to be warrior but just has anger issues. She was originally a weaver of blankets and bracelets. However her anger got her exiled from her tribe and she had to learn to fight to survive on the road.
They eventually came to a beach next to mists full of undead and found the tomb they were looking for to find clues about who stole the helmet the Centaurs desire. The tomb lead them deep underground, and a strange black goo was flowing UP the slope of the tomb and pouring out. They came across a corpse of young man, teen, whose muscles seem to be drained. They came across a big vault door that was open and a pedestal with stone mannequin head staring at the door. The door had passive aggressive messages about opening the door that said a different thing to each player. They went deeper past the door into the dark spiky hallways and came across two more corpses. One of another teen boy and the ogre kitted to the teeth in magical gear. The ogre was also wearing a distinctive black cloak. Then the shadows attacked. The party was left defenseless as the shadows passed through their armor, sucking out their strength. In the dark, the shadows were practically invisible, until Nimh release a giant ball of glitter covering everyone in glitter. However the shadows damage was done, Nyx the owl being reduced to one point of strength. Only with the great strength and speed of Rassani the minataur did the party escape as she dragged them out of there.
