The reason I like board games so much is it allows me me have a conversation with person but let retreat in silence to catch my thoughts. Most Americans are too chatty and get uncomfortable with silence. I often don't know what to say next and I hate to not have a plan or a goal. I hate just hanging out. Board games relieve this for me. We can be talking and I don't know what say next so I just focus on game a bit to collect my thoughts. I like thinking and anticpating what you will say next. The conversation feels more fullfilling if you always have good point, a joke, or a story to follow what person just said. If you say the wrong thing, all sorts of things can happen. Anything is possible with words.
