Hurm,
Some of the smaller stuff:
New Friends Of Narnia group
I have made a new PRIVATE group for all those who have previously visted the lands of Narnia. Hit my journal if you would like details. The link for the group is below in my Favorite Groups list.
Friends List maintenance part 3
Ok my friends list has been trimmed by about three people and I doubt any of those three will miss me. I may trim one or two more soon. I also trimmed another dozen groups and may trim some more of those too.
LA Hijinks
The local LA SG crew plans to have another meeting early next week, can't wait!
Also, I went on a porn shoot Tuesay and Friday...I'm still extremely tired from both. I may or may not go over all the drama that happened if there is any interest. In the meantime, I am re-stringing and tuning Monica Mayhem's Strat.
Ror, The Ultra-Conservative
And now for something TOTALLY DIFFERENT! Please read all the below in the context that I am always referring to the United States.
For those of you who are my friends (and I luv ya all), you might not know that I consider myself an ultra-conservative atheist. I believe that economics and freedom should govern the US over legislation except in a very few exceptions. The majority of these exceptions are located in the Constitution of the United States.
However despite this, I also believe in achieving societal goals that most people would say are "liberal". The real problem is nearly everyone nowadays consider the terms "liberal" and "conservative" to be polar opposites when in fact they are not. My definition of a "liberal" is anyone who has a tendency likes to advocate radical change as a solution. "Conservatives" are people who want to conserve the government's abilities and role in affecting everyday life. For example, a conservative may want to propose a radical change of lifting all sales tax or they may propose to make no changes to the current government. As you can see liberal and conservative are obviously different but not opposites.
Why do people consider these terms to be opposite today? It's because in the US we only have two major parties, Democrats and Republicans. The two parties are not opposites; they are actually two sides of the same coin. Both parties seek power in the US and both members of each party wish to make the US a better place (in their minds). The difference is the approach of each party. The Democrat party has been labeled as "liberal" and the Republican party is "conservative", and as the top two parties they have to constantly duke it out for political seats. Since the two parties are such bitter rivals, the two terms associated with each party are also considered opposing viewpoints. Thus in reality I believe that a person can be both liberal and conservative at the same time without being a moderate.
In my opinion, the two terms have become convoluted and confused with the platforms Democrat and Republican parties. Thus what I mean by saying conservative may not be in sync with what you out there believe.
So why am I explaining all of this? I have found that my fairly well-argued opinions are rather controversial or surprising considering my self-dubbed "ultra-conservative" label. For fun, and to satisfy your curiousities', please ask me how I feel about a particular general issue in today's US agenda. I will reply with my answer in my own journal. I especially want questions on issues that are controversial, fiercely battled OR ones that nearly everyone already agree on...my answers may surprise you!
Ask away please, and this is just for fun. I put forward everything I say as opinion. If you have a particular issue where you have a strong stance and it's dear to your heart, you might want to avoid that question.

I think Kurosawa's films are epic, but I am fascinated by close interpersonal relationships more than epic sagas...
I find myself in a constant tizzy, translating Japanese films... so much is left out that you barely get the meaning at times... I'm no expert, but I do realise when certain terms, (and I suppose it's difficult for the translators), those terms, have difficult English translations... it's at least good to know the language of the film you are watching... I love Japanese... I love the cadence... I love listening to it... I love listening to it in films, and what is missed by others just reading the subtitles...
Chinese is far too hard!!! to many tonal stresses!!! ouch!!! at least Japanese only has but a few and not so mandatory vocal stressors... !
