Ok so I didn't get to see Megadeth playing on TV for Jimmy Kimmel. I did get the JK tickets though (the Megadeth event where they play for JK on TV was a separate ticket). JK seats like 100 and the outdoor MD concert was like 200+ so I guess MD is way more popular than JK. I must concur.
So...instead I got myself into the Megadeth Cyber Army (the fan club) and got myself dibs on a pair of tix for when they play Universal City next year...fan club gets a two hour head start on buying tickets. If you've ever lined up, gotten wristbands or ever tried buying tickets for a hot show yourself, you know how HUGE a two hour lead is. Well I scored. Two tickets...VIP. It comes with autos and photo session, custom T-shirt, backstage pass AND pit pass. Fuck Jimmy Kimmel show...lol.
!MEGADETH!
Oh, and mutha f-ing Motorhead is playing there too along with two other whatever bands.
Ror-isms
Lately I haven't been doing as many essays on my historical observations or science-y stuff that some of you liked. So I'm going to put a little bit here and there.
My latest is "the theory of 'scary'."
My theory goes like this:
Scary > Sexy > Cool > Played > Corny
...where ">" is some period of time passing, maybe years.
Take anything that's scary, the scarier the better. Give it some time, maybe one generation (like 16 to 18 years) then the scary stuff will start to seem sexy, maybe even downright arousing. Once something that was once scary becomes sexy to more and more people, it starts to become cool. Then once the free market realizes there is this once-scary now sexy/cool thing can be tapped into, it becomes played. And naturally once something that the cool people considered "played" for quite a while, now it's just corny.
For example, in the 50s, Marxist Communism was scary.
Then for a while (and for some people it still is), it became sexy as there were people secretly being card-carrying "commies." Castro taking over Cuba, Khruschev beating on a table with his shoe, the Communists were very passionate.
Then even in the US, revolutionaries became cool because it was anti-establishment...Che Guevara became an "in" thing.
Now having Che on your clothes is so 1998.
You can take the same formula with mummies or vampires/zombies. Mummies aren't very scary so no one gives a damn. But vampires sneaking in and killing you in your sleep or getting trapped and overrun by mindless, disgusting zombies...now that shit is all over the place and is now corny.
So...take anything really scary on a visceral level and if it's portable, it will eventually follow the above cycle.
Club Suicide - Halloween (The LAST, LAST One)
So all of the times I've been to CS at the Monte Cristo club, there's been this badass chick who takes all of the pictures. Her name is Danae and she's not super-online, she's more of a nature/camping girl it seems...but now she's on SG and credited as the official CS photographer, yay! She's one of the people I look to chat with when one of the SGs I'm there to see is busy dancing.
Danial
She was painted up and dressed up for Halloween. I hope I get to see her again some other time. Heck, I hope they do another Club Suicide thing or Vivid tells me about another time she's dancing again at the Monte Cristo.
Speaking of Viv...
Vivid
As you saw in my last journal, she was decked out in this sweet Leeloo (Miss Leeloomina Lekatariba Lamina-Tcha Ekbat De Sebat, if you're nasty). <3
Such a dreamy sequence...what I saw looked totally different from what these pics show...the fun part about taking these pics is getting to look afterwards at what comes out.
Looking at these phots, you totally can just forget that it's Vivid and not a real Leeloo... Although the amazing bust of hers in profile view can remind you, as Viv's profile is more amazing than Milla J's.
RAWR
Choose the form of the destructor! Damn, that scene in Ghostbusters made me feel weird and hot at the same time, same as this pic...I'm laying down on this couch taking this pic of Viv. I know, I know, lucky me.
Just a short preview gif...
A lot more gifs of Viv coming! One thing awesome about gifts over straight video...dancing visually speaking is obviously a vertical thing. You can't take video vertically, only horizontally so these little clips I make sorta fit this go-going thing better.
Milloux
Gif of eternal hoolahoopin'!
I'm still trying to figure out how she knew I was shooting when it was all dark in there and I hadn't told her...she makes some adorable faces at me (us). *arrow through the heart*
I got really unlucky in getting photo ops with Milloux but obviously if you saw my last mini-journal, you saw this awesome pic.
Luckily she's local so I'm sure I'll catch her later at a comic show or other SG event.
Pritzy
Only my second time seeing Pritzy, damn she looks good.
She blows me a kiss as I take a pic...I guess it pays sitting next to Viv and Milloux, lol.
And she strikes a pose in her Nicky Minaj costume. I don't remember N. Minaj looking THIS good.
Loved seeing her again, for sure!
Haydin
Ok stop! HAYDIN TIME!
You could tell this was at the end of the show since it's no longer Richard Blade in the back, DJing.
I love how the laser is going right before her eyes, it's very Soryama. <3
She looked really good, like she'd been working out like mad...very hot and cute.
Set Support!
Rosalilly's new set...
Kitten Mittens!
So adorable and with some insanely sexy underpants to cross your wires in just that exquisitely twisted way.
Porphyria's new set...
Tarantula!
This totally reminds me of that hot chick in Death Note, Amane Misa, except our subject Porphyria is even more gorgeous and kinky.
And my darling _Eon has a set coming out very soon...it might hit MR, it might hit FP...I'm totally jacked up for it! <3 <3
Coming Up Next...
Well, I still want to write up that photography essay thingie in my mind. It won't be an easy write so we'll see...since there's no real due date unlike the other event-based stuff my journal has, this subject has no due date.
Also, there will be a part 2 of that same essay that talks about how SG goes about making girls pink and stuff, based on a long series of observations on my part.
...more Ror-isms.
I'll have a ton of new gifs, both from that lil aquarium trip and from the above CS event. Just waiting to visit my friend and get the mass image-altering software so I don't have to hand edit each frame.
And...the Pirates card game. Yes, I said PIERATS!

.><.
PS - Oh, almost forgot, I also had a day-long trip to the Huntington Library, which is a disgustingly awesome garden/library/museum. For example, they have an actual copy of Audubon's Bird's of America, a Gutenberg Bible, a copy of Thomas Paine's Common Sense and a bunch of other crazy stuff like original George Washington paraphenalia.
