Lil Blog - End of May 2011 version
Ok so I was going write all sorts of crazy stuff, prepare for trips and sell off my Magic collection to fuel said trips.
Welp, my mom (or as I call her, "my crazy mom") fell down and broke her clavicle along with bruising a bunch of her body. When I got the call to go meet her in the hospital waiting room, I was tempted to kid her about whether she did a little body flip...until she told me she fell so hard, she actually did a body flip. (In Chinese/Mandarin, a body flip is actually a funny-sounding term, like if someone fell into a pool, you could tease a person about getting a "wedgie" because their underwear rode up. ) Well my mom plays like serious tennis, doubles and singles, like three to four times a week for hours at a time. It was inevitable...
So now I'm taking care of her a bit. But today, I wound up able to sell my cards or at least the bulk of them. About 5 K. Enough to pay everything off and get the ball rolling on getting event tickets, plane tickets and hotels booked.
Also, I got my friend's images off his point and shoot for the Big 4 concert. All of his shots were closeups. All of mine were scenic (because my camera couldn't zoom cuz it's a POShit). So it's perfect, adding his photos to mine. But now I have to finish editing mine (half done) and then edit his. I'm really pumped.
Oh, also, is there any gal pal who reads this blog who wants to take an all expenses paid trip to Otakon with me? I'm actually totally serious. It's in Baltimore (see my previous blog). Message me if you're curious.
