My philosophy has always been to be present and do the things that are necessary to make life easier for the people around me. The women in my life have never! ever carried in carry groceries! if I was home. Even if I worked all day, I came home, made dinner and multi-tasked as many house hold chores as possible so that my girl could relax and enjoy her evening. The words "get me a beer" has never come out of my mouth. No task is beneath me. I have never balked at going shopping, yes even shoe shopping. I challenged them, supported their careers, and was always knee deep in their homework when they were bettering their education.
Funny story; I was working all day and I had injured myself. I was pretty sore and my ex wife asked me to go and pick up tampons and i said "I can't tonight" and before I could tell her why, she had ripped me up and down accusing of me of being embarrassed. grrrrr The reality was,,, I had fractured my ankle and needed to go to the ER. About 3 days later we were in Costco, I was hobbling around in a boot. I grabbed a second cart and went to the feminine hygiene isle and filled the cart with tampons. My ex was in shock and started protesting. I explained to her that I would never be embarrassed to by tampons because everyone knows that they are not for me. If the cashier is a women she is going to think was a hero, if its a guy what can he say? I'm 6'4 and a jarhead. right? Now we purchased $340 worth of tampons that day.. end of argument.. I digress..
Now the basis of my philosophy may sound sweet, but actually its kind of selfish. It applies to all people in your life - significant others, family, friends and even the people that work for you or with you, even strangers. Do for others and you will be amazed how much they will do for you. The key to making this philosophy work is NEVER and I mean NEVER expect Anything in return!!! ever ever!!
When it comes to your girl, going shopping for clothes and shoes may sound horrible, but it should be viewed as another excuse to spend more time with your her. Embrace that time because with the right attitude it can lead to the most spontaneous and crazy hot intimate moments you will ever have in your life. Many a memory has been made in countless dressing rooms, mall or grocery store parking lots, hiking trails, bathrooms, hidden hallways, storage rooms, crawl spaces, tree forts, playground equipment, use your imagination... If you get the household chores done at night, do your part as a father, (helping with homework, changing diapers ect), and anything else you can think of. Your girl is going to rock your world in the bedroom because she is grateful and isn't too tired!! Of course it helps if you always make her feel wanted, and have competent knowledge of the female anatomy! Face it we only a pop a couple of times but girls can cum 5, 6, 20, 30 times before you even stick it in. Take some damn pride in making her climb the walls, and soak the sheets.. ..for fuck-sakes!!!!
So if that's my philosophy why do I have an ex wife or should I say 2?? Well I married a beautiful Irish girl born in Dublin that liked to mainline Vodka (oddly), liked to fight, and get DUIs as a hobby. After my youngest got into one of her water bottles that was filled with vodka we had to part ways, mostly because she wasn't willing to get help. My second wife and I agreed that we just didn't click, our relationship was just about sex and we had nothing in common. We parted amicably.
As for the title of my blog, well..... We have all matured and we are all very close friends. We co-parent like champs and are really supportive of each other. However both of them tend to want to complain to me for days about what their significant others don't do for them, many of those things are on the list above and it gets really old. More to the point its too much information. In the end I love them both very dearly and I support their happiness. However I am in no danger of teaching grown men things they should all ready know!!
Both of them are piling on the whining today so I am taking the opportunity to vent!!! ... ... ...
