Work in the last 2 weeks has been, an incredible rush.
With non-stop dead lines, an office move that just never ended, more vendor screw ups than I could shake a stick at, and more than a few sleepless nights, and I can breathe again.
Now, I have a couple days to finish reading the Da Vinci code, maybe start reading some of the umpteen million novels/tech books I've been aquiring, head to the Apple store (because, well, it's fun to sell ipods to people when you don't even work there), and pick up a hobby or two.
Overall, its shaping up to be a good week.
Finally getting around to doing projects again, I picked up an AMD64 box as a new play station. The Mac Mini was super appealing, but I already have a powerbook. A linux box is more useful to my current needs.
Naming my computers has been a long time tradition, from the start, they were all named, and generally (atleast, in my opinion) ran in general perspective of their names. Call me crazy, but computers act differently depending on their names.
The line up:
rapture - Work machine
bitter - Home box, AMD64, Debian Linux
sweet - Home box, PII450, FreeBSD
puck - PowerBook, 1.5GhZ PPC, Mac OSX (Anything else would just be silly)
perversion - Server. Debian
Does your computer have a name? Does it act accordingly?
