Over the past few weeks I've been working on getting things ready to move my business into the house. It's slow going and quite entertaining. We had to fix the wall in the basement, sistering the studs and then putting up new sheet rock at the bottom, mud and paint it. Well we got the studs sistered and the sheet rock done. Mudding is taking some time to get it right.
After that I went to fix an outside faucet that I started in the summer. Should have been easy to do - remove outside faucet, cut pipe inside, pull the old pipe out some, install new faucet, shove it back in and solder the new joints. Well it ain't that easy! Some genius made an "S" about a foot after it went inside. So now I had to cut a hole in the ceiling...yay more work to repair that...then cut the pipe there. Almost got it all done except my solder work leaves something to be desired. I still have a leak and need to try to clean it up.
The fun of this time of the year is planning the garden. Starting from seeds this year. Tomatoes, green peppers, lots of hot peppers - YUM!!, zucchini (my father flipped since I hated it as a kid) and lettuce. Can't wait for it to get planted and producing! Salads and tomato sandwiches...yummy!
Can't say it enough but thanks to all of you SG's that put up your sets for review and grats to those that make it to the front page. You girls are awesome!
