Once again I've hit a busy streak...I turned 41 at the end of November, it's the last month of being the President of my local chapter of a worldwide community group and the holidays are here. The good thing about the holidays is that my family is all grow'd up and we've basically decided that we'll just have a nice dinner somewhere instead of stressing over what to get each other. The conclusion was that if we needed or wanted it the we would have already purchased it or it cost to much for one of us to get it. On my wife's side of the family we do a Pollyanna. You provide a list to everyone and then you get one name. Take their list and use it for ideas and spend up to $100. Much less stress and time at the malls and plazas.
I just can't stand the commercialization of xmas these days. It's starts now the day after Halloween and keeps going until the big day comes. Don't ask me about Valentines day either...I don't need Hallmark to tell when to say I Love You to my wife, family and friends.
Sorry to sound bitter but that's just my point of view!
All is good and I hope to spend some time on the boards during the next few weeks!
