We'll I must saying that playing on the boards a little more often reminds of how much fun this place is and cool the people are. I'm also back to enjoying them thar' neked wimmins!
Frustration is setting in for me. I mentioned an arm/shoulder injury that I got from about 5 weeks ago. Went to the family doc, got x-rays and no broken bones. Waited a week as suggested to see if things got better. Same pain if not worse now. Got to see the people that fixed me up on my right shoulder and see if they could help me this time. They gave me the electric stimulation and heat packs, plus some physical therapy. Feels good while they do it but no improvement. Now, I get sent to a sports medicine specialist. He determines that it's a tear of some sort and I need an MRI to find out exactly what kind of tear it is. That was last week. I schedule the MRI for Monday. They call and say that the machine is broken and reschedule for today. I get home last night and there is the wonderful message saying that it's still broke. I get rescheduled for tomorrow at this point.
Here is my problem - if I ever get the fricken MRI then it has to go to the sports doc for him to look at. I have to get an appointment with him to go over the problem and the cure. The way things run around this area that means that there will be no appointment til' next week. I'm in another state next week, gambling in Atlantic City, followed by Thanksgiving and the weekend. So, figure the last week of November at this point...almost 8 weeks after the injury. Then if it's what I've been warned about, surgery to repair the tear, then I've got to deal with more time for him to get that set up. Followed by the real healing process and PT. I figure that I might be good by March or April.
Mean while my wife has to do all of the simple as chores that I would normally do because I can't lift things that are heavy. I'm a sports junkie as well so all that has come to a complete halt! GRRRRR!!!!!! At least I can still pull on off with my other hand when needed!!!
