WoW it seems like a love it or hate it crowd out there. People are warning me about this game consuming my world. The only thing it has really consumed is my money out of my pocket...damn pay by the month sucks. I'm to involved with other things in the world to let it take over.
Last week I spent three days with some of the most beautiful young ladies in spandex that I've had the privilege to know. It's volleyball season again at GW and I'm happy to say that they're gonna' keep my attention for the season again. I went to the adult camp that they run and they beat me up pretty good. I thought when you got in shape that things were supposed to be easier. It's taken me all weekend to recover from sore legs, shoulders and arms. I even have a bruise on my knee because they kept asking me to demo a certain pass that involved hitting the floor.
This weekend I was at a function for my local community group. They kept giving out awards and talking about my friend that HAD cancer. She worked hard to make people aware and was involved in helping raise over $10,000 for our Relay for Life. Her portion was $3000. We learned that another friend's brother has colon cancer stage 3. Her plea was to let everybody know that if something isn't right with your body that you need to go get it checked out. He knew something wasn't right for 6 months and let it go until he couldn't bare it anymore. Well, if he went 6 months ago he would have had an 80% chance of recovery. Now, he's losing the battle and only being given a 50% chance to survive it.
So my plea to all of you that read this is to go get yourself checked out if something isn't right with your health! Please!

I'm glad that your friend beat cancer. I worry that even though I know the risks, I'll be one of those that ignores the pain for as long as possible. It's just my nature, but I hope I'll be wiser than that if/when my time comes.
