Time to get past those scary pics...
I took my friend to the day hospital for some work to be done for her treatments. She did her breathing stuff then we went over to see if she could get a saline bag because she was feeling lightheaded after round 3 of chemo. They sat her down and put her through all of the regular battery of stuff - blood pressure, heart rate, temperature and such. Anyways long story short on that part - BP 80/62 and HR-124 while standing. She got her juice drip. Enjoyed being her company and chauffeur for the afternoon. I get home to find out that they called her back for an overnight stay at NIH.
She's out for the weekend and hopefully til the next round in a week. I'm at Relay for Life this weekend. She raised $3000 for it but can't be there due to possible low white blood cell counts. So we're going to bring the luminary lighting to her. Some of her friends are bringing some of the luminaries bought for her and we're going to light them at her place so she can still participate. Ain't we sweet! Her hubby is happy that she's not going out as well. What are friends for?
