Last week was quite an interesting week for me. Softball started for me. We play double headers on Tuesdays. Last week we split against a team that we despise due to their "bull dike" captain that always wants to start something with our women players. I'm not kidding with that description either. Look up the words and her picture will be there! Anyways, they tried starting crap with us again. This time one of the guys came sliding into home plate with cleats up on a force out and jammed his cleat into our 120lb. catcher. She crumbled to the ground in pain after the 220lb asshole laid into her. We went to check on her and all he did was start screaming at her about being in the way and how she should play if she didn't know what was going on. Bottom line - he was wrong and out. We protect our own but we don't instigate. This guy had it coming too! We backed off and let it go. The jerk came over and apologized later. Our captain also got pegged in the shoulder for trying to keep from bowling their catcher over. He kept his cool, rare for him though. I was known as the "black hole" because of my skills in left-center field. I've never had so many fly balls my way. There must have been 10 hit my way and they all ended up being outs. Yeah for me!
The next night I played volleyball. Lately I have no success with hitting. Something to with not getting a set within a reasonable area to hit. Well finally my teammates figured it out. I was hitting bombs at that other team. It was a pretty good night but we still split with them.
I played again on Friday and had similar success but I'm more of the setter type so my teammates made things work when they got sets from me.
Now when I'm on the boards I keep watching the "COMMENT" thread. I'm starting to understand how it works. I've also come to realize that I need to keep a separate tab open with the dictionary. com so that I can figure out what the hell Zarth has put in there. Call it a vocabulary lesson. I tried posting on it but not sure if it worked. I'm thinking that it might be a little out of my brain range right now. I'm not saying that I'm stupid but I'm more of a direct meaning type of guy vs. this inferred meaning thread.
Sometimes I feel like such a noob. Ok, so when somebody comments on a blog how do you reply to that comment? Is it the link button or something else? I've looked through all of the help menus and found nothing.

And in answer to your comment to me, earlier, no she isn't going on the beltway at all this weekend, or for the foreseeable future, if I have anything to say about it. She's gone on the toll road, before, tho, and the Greenway.
