What a weekend! I spent the weekend with 112 women and still couldn't get none! Worse is that I shared a room with a female friend. Ok, so our spouses know us better than that. Anyways this was a scrapbooking weekend with the ladies. It's me and the girls for 50 non-stop hours of scrapbooking. My friend Sue and I did a little bit of self-healing by making a scrapbook for our friend Angela who has the lymphoma cancer. Angela would have been there too but they really wanted to start working on the tumor...kind of important I think.
The ladies in charge of the weekend raffled of two machines and raised $700 for Angela to donate to a charity of her choice. Angela doesn't know that yet but when she finds out she's gonna' kick my but with her proud foot! They also made a huge 2' x 3' card for her and all of the people put little notes or embellishments on the card for her.
I really needed that weekend. It's been some time since I've laughed so hard. Being the only guy there I usually end up being a source of entertainment and this weekend was no exception. One of the hostesses has quite the dirty mind..yeah!...and the other has it but doesn't always catch everything at first. I walked up to her while she was sitting at just that oh so right level and pulled a banana out of my pocket and moved it towards her face while asking if she'd like to touch my banana. Needless to say she jumped out of her seat and turned a thousand shades of red while the rest of us laughed our asses off.
My friend Angela is home now. She is on a special study program, only offered by NIH, that allows her to take her chemo home with her. Her husband has been trained on how to give injections for the medications she needs for the program that she is on. So far she says she is just tired but the future sounds like it's going to be miserable. She's not looking forward to that part but is still anxious to get this cancerous tumor gone!
That's all for now!!!!

I've been working on a scrapbook for several weeks now of the pictures we had gathered for my mother's memorial service. I'm about halfway through. It was pretty easy doing the kid pictures of her since obviously I didn't know her then. But now that I'm into the pictures where she's with me, or my brother, it's a little harder. Still, I'll get it done, and I'll get it done right. She deserves that.
