Every once in a roller-coaster ride, life hands you a grounded rainbow, inverted like a lost smile, only backwards. In the past two days, life has rained three upon me.

Special thanks to Liz, Desarae, and Derrick Brown. I love you. All. With candy-coated hugs and chocolate-dipped kisses. That's right. I'm dipping chocolate for you folks.

Letter to an unrequited love:

I won't promise you forever.
I'm better at tomorrow
when I think sleeping in your arms
is only for tonight.

So let me lay with you
fully-clothed in inhibitions
like two strangers on a double-bed
who forgot to warm their fears
with liquor raindrops
from an iceberg bar
of dead-end kisses
and long goodbyes.

When we wake I may
look...

"It's so ridiculous, y'all. Like, if all 6 billion of us died at once and they put us in this one long line of 6 billion people, and despite the way we were able to appreciate the moon and the love and the laughter and the friendships and the healing and the good times and the way we gave it our all and felt it...

Been wrestling with my new website quite a bit; trying to decide how I want the look to go.
My Shakespeare class is winding down and I'm getting started on the term paper for it. I think I'm going to be writing on the dynamic of same-sex relationships in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Twelfth Night. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
That's about it for...

Well, the weekend was hit and miss.
Took a test in Shakespeare on Friday. Not bad for 30 minutes of studying. Got a B+. So much for the expected difficulty of graduate school.
Hung out with Derek and Jean on Saturday for quite some time. Had some food, drank a little (well, some drank more than others), watched some Japanese horror and some Friends. All...

'Tis a frightful dream, this web of ours. Corner to corner, post to post, nothing ever seems to play the way it ought to in our heads. I wonder why, why I cry at things like goodbye from people I don't know, who I've always wished would go. And there's three where two would do, I find myself longing for you, some you I talk...

It's been about fifteen months since I've kissed anyone. Fifteen months. I've only been single twelve. Odd, I know. Either way, it bothers me a little bit. I think with every month that passes, I grow a bit less comfortable with the idea of a new girl. Kissing is all well and good, but there are other problems that plague my anxiety. I won't go...

So, it's been a little while. Here's the rundown:

Graduated with a B.A. in Classical Studies.
My gpa didn't slip a bit (double woot woot from the woohoo train!).
Quit McAlisters.
Didn't get an assistantship for next year.
Working on a tutoring position.
Graduate school starts a week from today.
The plan is an M.A. in Comparative Literature from UA, then on to Harvard or...
