My camera finally came back today! Woo hoo!!
I bought a new lens last month and the focusing was horrible on it, so I had to send it back to the factory, and I had to send my camera along with it! That was none too pleasing. They returned it to me and I still wasn't satisfied so I sent it back a 2nd time, and then a 3rd time.
For the 3rd return, they had me send it to the manager of the repair shop and he handled it himself. I think he did it right because it seems to be focusing pretty darn crisply. I scheduled a shoot for Sunday afternoon, so I'll give it a go with a human being and see if it's a keeper or not.
After dinner, I walked over to the Capitol building and took shots of flowers and statues and the Capitol itself. Just wanted to see how it focuses and what the background blur looks like. Most of these were shot at ISO 800 and the aperture opened to 2.8.
And here's my new lens (on the left side of your screen). It's a Sigma 24-70 f2.8. It's one of the best lenses that Sigma makes, so I don't know what the heck was going on with the focusing issues. I have another Sigma lens and three Sigma flashes and have never had a problem with any of them. We'll see how this one plays out.
