mornings like today's and yesterday's just may turn me into a morning person after all. the non-drug induced euphoria effectively neutralizes the sleep deprivation. on a related note, the prisoner was released on her own recognizance, so the prison break will not be necessary after all. but it's good to know that so many of you are willing and able to help me commit a felony when necessary. i'll keep that in mind for the future.

had a great time hanging with the family in florida this weekend. i finally met my cousin's 4-month-old baby girl. she's a sweetheart and looks only slightly like an alien:


and on sunday as i watched: my cousin (who is just barely 22, btw) focus her entire attention the baby's care, my aunt and uncle with the chaos of their 3 small children, and my mom struggle with issues with my brother who is far too old to still be the pain in the ass that he is to her, i thought: happy mother's day to me - because i'm not one. because by the universal law of perpetuation of vicious cycles, i should be by now - my mom had 3 kids by the time she was 22. so by all rights i should be barefoot and pregnant in a trailer park right now. instead i'm off to the beach to study. HA! - take that, life.
