The slow version of wave of mutilation. And where is my mind. And Here comes your (man). And Veloria. And Caribou, and well so many. Better stick with the first two. After I talked to you and you told me what song that was on my voice mail, I started singing it here.

my friends are cooler than your friends.
i had my boys over to my place for some dinner and drinks last night. we had a fanfuckingtastic time as always. my cheeks are still sore from all the hysterical laughter. i tried to convince myself yesterday afternoon that it would just be a mellow and early night. i should have known better - whenever i have...

Signing off till monday. I owe you $5.

I agree with cherrybomb00, super foxy profile pic!

I need to make a copy of this Drip CD for you. It hasn't aged very well but it will definitely be interesting for you wink I don't think anyone else would hear the influence. I'm just super sensative about that kind of thing (i.e. I really hate hearing blatent rip offs especially knowing that most people are being fooled mad )

tongue ARRR!!! oink

Wow, you know Andy by name! I'm impressed tongue I had no idea I would be preaching to the converted.

Andy used to be the frontal section of one of my favorite bands about 6 years ago called Drip. I followed them around for awhile and at one point offered to do their website (i.e. "please be my friend") but he said that they weren't sure they were even going to keep the name. They disappeared soon after.

I think, if compaired side by side there might be an embarassing number of similarities between ATC's sound and some of those old Drip tunes.. oy!

Hotpants, you are the sweetest. No wonder all of your ex-boyfriend's friends fall in love with you! I tried calling you tonight but my phone dropped the call in my black hole of the cellular frequencies apartment, and I can't be going outside in my condition....... you know, my dampness and all....... I think I'm a textbook case for a lot of professions right now, even mine (both of mine!). I've been away so much that Soshi is now laying on the anonymous articles of clothing left in my apartment rather than my day old crumpled shirt. She even stopped gnawing on my underwear, should I be worried?

AHHH CHOOOO.....what do the Chinese use for sneezing?

I think it's my lack of Vitamin C.....the kiwi no-showed....20 minutes after talking to him! So hard to figure out, always so soft and mushy on the inside and tough and fuzzy on the outside......Probably for the better, although I'm also lacking in Vitamin M..... I'm hoping to find a good multivitamin this weekend at our annual retreat wink

Hey so I just asked Joe about his coachella tickets, and he just sold them all on ebay. All gone, sorry.

and i had to hear it on the news no less. his name was pat tillman, and he was an amazing guy. people are often called heroes when they die, but he was a true hero while he was alive as well. after september 11th he decided to leave behind the NFL (and a multimillion-dollar contract) to become...

Wow. I'm so sorry for your loss; he sounds like a truly exceptional guy. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by many.

Call if you need to talk, okay?

spent the afternoon today helping my quasi little sis study and do her homework. whenever i do that i get a little insight into why teachers choose such a frustrating and demanding profession. there's something so amazing about witnessing her pride grow as she understands and assimilates new information. and if that isn't enough, i return home to precious little e-mail messages like this one:...

i'm currently experiencing that disorienting kind of high that is induced by the clash between extreme sleep deprivation and massive amounts of caffeine. (caffeine buzz partially thanks to artchick de-virginizing me to the goodness that is boba).

now it's time to head over to Troublemaker's HQ for an entirely different kind of high.

You missed a phenomenal show my friend. YOU would have loved the opener, Laguardia. Beyond the unbelievable sexiness of the singer/guitarist/keyboardist, their music was an unexpected treat. I'm not sure how to describe them, but overall kind of dark. If you can imagine a mix of Radiohead, Ben Folds Five, Soundgarden and Smashing Pumpkins it might be them. The Coachella countdown is on! 10 days!

i'm in love with moulin rouge all over again. seeing it on the big screen was fabulous since i'm a loser and missed it in the theaters the first time around. and seeing it in the blithe atmosphere that is encouraged by a midnight screening was awesome. it was proven once again that nobody does loud and obnoxious as well as SGLA, thank you very...

the release of attachment is so unbelievably liberating.
it's no wonder i dig eastern philosophy so much.

thanks so much to all of you fine folks who expressed your concern for me. i woke up today feeling good again.

it's very rare for me to be upset, so when it happens it tends to be quite intense. but i also rebound fairly quickly. i have amazing people in my life who make it rather impossible to remain dejected. especially my best friend...

hey beautiful...i hear that...but if i had to chose between getting burned like i did at work the other day and getting "dropped" by a girl like i also had the priviledge of experiencing the other day...i would say...the burn definitely...the girl thing didn't get far enough to be actually hurt by...only a little bit of feelings...nothing special.. wink
