Blizzard white, removing all ability to orient myself I feel weightless, moving through liquid space.
A red sphere, tiny and bright moves across my field of vision, I fix on the spot and move closer. From white to red I lose my sense of depth and slide around the edges of consciousness.
Inside the sphere I see the blue ring glowing; pulling me closer, changing size and shape as I become smoke and wake up amidst the charcoal sky.
Lifeless there is only the penguin to keep me company; he mirrors my every motion. I can never get close enough to touch this flightless phantom; I couldn't tell you if it was real.
With the blink of an eye the world goes white again and the cycle repeats. However, this time there is no tuxedoed reflection in the gloom; there is only me.
