I have a serious anger management problem. I find myself frustrated over even the smallest things in life. This morning I used a blanket to keep warm while I let my house warm up from turning down the temperature and later in the day when I tripped over the blanket I lost my shit. I lost my shit when my PC wouldn't shut down correctly, or turn back on correctly, due to a faulty hard drive.
When I get angry I occasionally break stuff, always stuff that lack sentimental value and can be easily replace. I NEVER get violent with other people. I don't get violent around other people, only when I'm by myself. That being said I know that anger can cause health issues, because it raises your blood pressure among other things. I really don't want to medicate for it and I really really don't want to see a psychiatrist over it.
Does anyone know of any really good books that help cope with anger management? I have close to ten of them in my Amazon cart at the moment, but it would nice if maybe someone could give me a recommendation for a book that worked for them or someone they know.
