I got my Burning Man '08 ticket this week! I'm gathering a crew and planning the trip now. God I can't wait.

Anyone care to go along??

Its looking more and more like I'll end up in Atlanta, at least for now. Who knows, though?

small ditch turned into the grand canyon. ro and guy are no longer on my "friends" list, and the part that hurts the most is that neither of them has batted an eye about it. sure, i still love ro, and i always will. that doesn't go away. but i sure as hell don't like who she's become. it just pisses me off.

that's all.

hung out with ro (my ex) last night. she might be dating a mutual friend of ours soon. i can't do anything about it, especially considering i'm the one who didn't want to get back together after we broke up. and i suppose it's good to know that he's a good man, at least as far as i can tell. but the news hit at...

going on a full week doing almost nothing but eating, sleeping, and coding. (in reverse order) the fireworks simulator i've been working on for the local pyrotechnics guild is coming along, but there's nothing to show for it yet. a bunch of stuff needs to be written to handle organization of crap before i can even bother getting to the actual graphics, so if i...

i've become completely nocturnal by averaging something like 28-hour days since thursday.
ladyrune:
Damn... That's all I have to say... Just damn.

Ok, and maybe something else...
But how? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the night. Do you just work long days, or is it the partying that's got you up all night? smile
ladyrune:
Ok... I want your job... Really, I do.

Too bad I have no idea how to do it. frown

i take pride in getting myself into awesomely interesting situations...

next year (starting next month) i'll apparently be sharing a room with either a "mostly gay" guy named robbie, or an "almost 16" year-old emancipated girl named shana. should be fun either way.

that's all for this post, i don't feel like typing anymore.

wow this past weekend was amazing.
meggie came up to state college to spend the weekend with me, and we drove to my grandparents' place in NEPA. their yard had been flooded last week, by the monsoon, so we spent a lot of time picking up large rocks from the yard, cleaning out all the waterlogged stuff from the basement, and shovelling out the garage....

As civilization progresses, it becomes more and more necessary to keep oneself busy in order to conceal or distract from the pain of everyday life. Leisure time is a basic human desire, as it is evolutionarily stable to let the body and mind rest and play during downtime so they can be sharp when needed for procuring food. This conflict, between the need to keep...

if anybody reading this is within 2957465 miles of state college, be sure to check out our fireworks show on 4th of july. it is the 5th largest show in the nation, and is the largest run by all volunteers. this year i'm told we're using 12,000 shells, and it's all expertly choreographed to music broadcast over a local radio station. an excerpt from the...
