I can think of a few ways I’d like to keep warm... unfortunately I don’t have anyone to share my bed... but this time of year I’m already busy preparing for the winter. I get a grapple load of pole logs dropped at my house, and then for the next few weeks, I’ll be working (and keeping VERY warm) by cutting, splitting, and stacking as much wood as I’ll need for the following winter.
In normal years, I’d just be at this on the weekends, from Spring through Summer, and into the Fall. But I got screwed by my old wood vendor this year and two months had passed before I was able to find somebody else. So I’m working in compressed time now... trying to get as much done as I can before the snow flies.
