ARgh... technology has bested me today not once, but twice -
the first time was this morning when I was setting up some mics for some test recordings - everything was fine from the time I plugged everything in to the time I powered up the preamp - then I plug in my headphones and hit 'play' in the sequencer - my fuck did I ever get an earful of the nastiest feedback/extreme buffer glitchyness - not only did I go deaf in my left ear, but my system locked up and I lost a couple guitar tracks I recorded.
Then tonight, I'm re-recording those same guitar tracks, and I get a good 'old jolt of electricity into my picking hand.
Scared the hell out of me - it sounds hilarous in the edit though, as there's inaudible buzz then my hands promptly came off the strings - If only I had miked it instead of direct recording - the stream of colourful language that came out was the funniest.
