This year has not been kind to me. DUI, breakups, job troubles, back problems, failed certifications. Sometimes I wonder if I am on the right path, doing what I am supposed to be doing and where I am supposed to be. I look back on this year with shame, regret and anger. No one is going to do it for me, and throwing myself a pity party only makes it worse. I wish there was a light at the end of the tunnel but I don't see shit. No one to hold my hand and say its going to be alright. But that's life, it doesn't forgive you for having a bad day and give you a good one tomorrow. You do something wrong or stupid one day, you don't get a free pass the next. You have to watch out for yourself and keep yourself accountable. Don't bank on others coming through for you, bet on yourself. In the end you only have you.
