Welllll -- let's see....
Kid had a soccer game this morning - I managed to get there to catch the 2nd half of it (part of that's on purpose, part of it is because I always drive myself and I never pay enough attention to the time) - 1 to 1 tie. He did OK.
It's fun to watch them play - atleast for my son's team it's histerical to watch as they drive the ball to the goal and then all stand there because they don't get the idea of passing it TO someone already at the goal so they just sorta fall apart and stand there looking at each other while the opposing team kicks it away. Mind you I wouldn't be a coach for a million dollars cuz I don't have any idea how you talk to kids and I don't know how to play soccer, but just from watching them play I've sorta got a sense of how it should all work.
Oh well, atleast it gets him out and he plays with other kids!
Then we went to the horse farm next to the soccer fields and looked at the horses (he said the horse barn smelled "like pure horse" - lol). That was kinda cool.
Then home for lunch and to play with the kids in the neighborhood.
Then to the Baltimore book fair - it takes place at the foot of where my friend lives so I introduced her to my son. That was entertaining . Not sure that was a good thing or not but anyway, it's done.
Then back home after 4 hours of wandering around not looking at ANY of the stuff there but just watching him talk to people (I swear he was trying to pick up some 13 yr old girls) and eat.
KFC and Debbie Travis for dinner (he loves HGTV - scary stuff) and an early bed cuz he was tired and altho I still suck at being a dad it was an OK day .
Tomorrow I haveta work for afew hrs at most and then finally to the Ren Fest with aformentioned friend and some of HER friends. Should be fun I hope.
BTW, for grins:
Wow Plague

Really! But then, I associate riding with pure contentment and relaxation, so that's probably why I like that lovely pure horse smell!
