So last Friday I decided I was finally going to commit to making bento lunches for my husband. I’d always said I would get to it eventually but we all know how enticing procrastination can be😅
Anywho, I couldn’t get to sleep per usual, so I went on YouTube and watched some prep examples. Around like 5:40 am I hopped up and decided “today is the day” I threw my clothes on and sped walked to my nearest grocery store; THEY WERE CLOSED. I was livid. Nearly all of my motivation was lost if I’m being honest, but I’d already put pants on (which is an odyssey in itself) so I was going to do the damn thing 😂. Turns out there is a 24hr store about a 10 minute walk behind my house so I sped walked to that one, bought everything I thought I needed and then some and headed home. Here was my first attempt:
I was so proud of myself! Especially with the octopus wieners 😂🐙 AND I stuffed this fish cakes with zucchini I pickled myself!
For Monday’s lunch I made a made a tempura chicken with teriyaki sauce and teriyaki/pickled veggies and garlic spinach:

Last night we decided to grill. I think I successfully showed him you can have a filling meal with protein that come only from dead food lol. Here was the set up :
There were very little leftovers because we stuffed our faces. Sue me🤷🏾♀️ I did the best I could for his bento today lol
