Good night sleep... some chinese food... Roger Waters concert, and come home to find myself accepted into SGOH group... It's safe to say this weekend is starting out pretty good so far
Yes Roger Waters concert was tonight, and let me tell you it was amazing... For those who don't know, Waters was the bassist and one of main songwriters for Pink Floyd. Guess to compare, he's kinda to Pink Floyd like Paul McCartney was to The Beatles, so the guys a legend in a way. He is on tour right now as I'm typing performing 'The Wall' which was sort of his career masterpeice. Although Pink Floyd was known for many amazing great works he was part of, The Wall was the album/story that he was the main writer for, as its sort of based on his life if you do your history. Waters announced that this tour would 'most likely be his last tour' so he decided to make it a big one. And he didn't disapoint. The show features the entire Wall album beginning to end complete with the puppets and animations from the movie and a 30 something foot tall wall that is gradually built through out the first half of the show. If your a Pink Floyd fan, or you just love a good show, get online and see if he's coming to your city anytime soon, you won't regret it. A bit of a warning though... Waters is a bit political. In the song 'Mother' he added in after the line "Mother should I trust the government?" in big bold red letters 'NO FUCKING WAY'. I'm not political but I still love it!
So I'd like to take a second and say hello to all the coot cats in the SGOhio group! Happy to be a part of it and look forward to getting to know as many of you that wants to get to know me back! I love music, art, and Suicide Girls... to give ya a basic overview of yours truly. I try to keep this thing current for those who are interested haha, but I slack as does everyone. So hello again to all my new friends in SGOhio, maybe you can help make Ohio not as quite of a lame ass place to live... because here in Toledo so far it pretty much is...
Anyone interested I do have a video up. And its of me! I had just came home and on a whim decided to record it. It's me playing 'Dee' by Randy Rhoads. Guess after an amazing show your just sort of in the mood, horny for music I guess you could say huh? The 'REAL' Dee can be heard featured as track 4 on the Blizzard of Ozz album, Ozzy's first step out as a solo artist, as well as the last track on his Tribute album dedicated to Rhoads. Randy being the influence that he is on my playing, it's one of my favorite songs to play and I was pretty relaxed, thought something sort of relaxing would be appropriate. Any guitarist who don't know this one and would like to, my best bit of advice is to use the last track of the Tribute as a reference since it's not double tracked like the Blizzard of Ozz version. I tried several times to record this with my acoustic but the sound just wasn't happening, afterall its a camera that takes videos, not a cam corder. And yes I had just came home from concert hence the outfit, I didn't dress up just for lol sorry...
Hard to believe this months almost over with. Halloween... the hap, happiest time of the year is almost upon us! Next weekend. Unfortunatly I have to work the 31st so I'll have to celebrate the 30th, I hear talk of a GWAR concert, outta be interesting huh? Time seems like it flies by when you look back on it, this year is nearing its end. Leaves are falling, temperature is dropping. I have a love/hate with this time of year, because although I do love the season and festivities and the holidays... it also marks the ending of another year gone. I'm still young, but I'm one of the few kids my age to know that I won't be young forever... and I'm going to have to have something to show for my life someday, I hope so anyways... Not to get to deep but its just something that concerns me.
The 'band' isn't getting too far, not that it ever is. We've gone throught bandmates like kleenex's in the last several years. Alot of them wanting the perks of being a rockstar without ever working for it. Alot of good friendships lost. Dedication is the hardest thing to find in other band mates I have found. Steve and I have been trying to get this to work for years, and we keep find people with the same problem, theyre talented yes, but talent doesnt go too far when you just talk. I proposed the idea of a solo instrumental project, simply for the fun of it to him few years back. Even had a few friends from highschool agreed to do a few bits of vocals here and there. I've got so much written for it and we sort of chatted about it whole way to concert tonight. I'd feel a little better or more hopeful if I could atleast get him to commit to that. Any advice of the situation I'm as usual all ears for.
Well that's going to be it for me! Hope all of you are having as good as weekend as I'm having so far. Be safe out there kids! But while your here reading my blogs, don't forget to stop in and show some support for some of these gorgeous hopefulls! Stay safe! Have fun! And rock on <3

if you get a chance to see gwar, do it. one of the most fun bands to see live. if you want to stay dry, stay back a ways. depending on where you see them, they'll have different cannons that fire quite a distance.
what kind of music are you writing?
And yes that concert was nothing short of amazing my friend, did you happen to see him in 06 when he did Dark Side of the Moon tour?
