Home sweet home. I made it home Wednesday night and have been catching up with some stuff I tivo'd while gone, along with a summer's worth of reading, movies, and everything else. Now comes the hard part....finding another job. Ultimately I'm happy with the job I did. I think I honestly did the best a person could. And SG fans will be happy that we have 2 whole SG's appearing in the movie. Going to the movies would be awesome, although I'm thinking I might hold off the big screen experience for the Sept. 30th release of Serenity.
I have a lot of tickets for concerts in the next couple of months. First up the Dandy Warhols at CBGB's (BTW I missed a bunch of great "save CB's" shows like Flipper, Dead Boys, Misfits, and an assload more that I'm sad about). That one is part of CMJ week, which isn't too great this year in my opinion. A few days later comes Le Tigre, which I found out about by mistake and was lucky to get a ticket to. The the Blackest of The Black tour which I couldn't give a shit about any of the bands playing except that Danzig is playing with Doyle and doing a 30 minute Misfits set! After that I get to see the lovely and amazing Liz Phair again, before finishing October out with the new Misfits on Halloween night.
Also really excited about Sept. 30's release of Serenity obviously and then the Thanksgiving day release of RENT, which I'm more worried about, especially after the latest trailer. In the TV world The O.C. starts this week and after that shows start returning every week. Along with the new show goodness. So far I've seen Prison Break and Bones (which hasn't premiered yet). Prison Break seems decent and Bones was alright but I don't think it has any kind of staying power. I'm sad The Inside didn't make it. There are a lot of new shows I'm looking foward to though.
