This is the old days, the bad days, the all or nothing days.
Last night was amazing. I was sitting here a little after 11 trying to plan out today. Part of that plan was to look up showtimes for Sin City so I could get to the earliest show possible. In the process of doing that I find out that there's a theatre in Brooklyn with a 12:01 showing! I freaked. I bought a ticket while I threw on some clothes and basically ran out the door. The theatre is one I've been to before but its kinda far from my house, as opposed to the 2 that are just a few blocks away. The area its in is also really easy to get lost in and the theatre is kinda hidden a little (especially at night) so I missed the turn cause its hidden and wound up totally lost. Thankfully I used to date a girl who lived around there so I was able to find my way back to where I at least knew where I was. Still couldn't find the theatre so I ran into 7-Eleven and asked the guy there. I pulled into the parking lot, picked up my ticket and was in my seat with 15 minutes to spare. I was speeding like crazy most of the time but damn I'm fast.
The movie itself was a masterpiece. Robert Rodriguez just confirmed my love of everything he does. It was sooooo painfully good. And chock full o violence. Carla Gugino should be naked in more movies, she's absolutley beautiful. And Jessica Alba definatly knows how to move her body (unfortunatly she didn't actually strip). Anyway the first chance you get go see this movie. I'm thinking of going again to see it digitally projected. This is definatly the movie that makes you want to run out and buy an HDTV and prey for the HD-DVD's to be coming sooner.
