I read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland yesterday. Have you read this yet? I was so disappointed. I know I was Disneyized so I was trying to keep an open mind about it. In the version I grew up with Alice was a sweet little girl who got herself into a bit of a pickle. She was curious about the White Rabbit, who wouldn't be? She followed his fuzzy ass down a hole and became a victim of circumstance.
In the book she was a whiny little cunt. She kept trying to make these logical decisions which, to her, made perfect sense. The decisions she made turned out to fuck her up worse and worse each time. Instead of trying to repair the situation she continued to try to follow the White Rabbit (who didn't want the bitch to be following him in the first place . . . he had shit to do).
I think Alice was a victim of neglect in a loveless home. She was too easily misdirected and too impressionable for her own good. She's just lucky that it was Wonderland and not a frat house.
