Ok I have stated many a time that I work as a lowly porter, bottom of the barrel peon of the automotive world. I have also talked about the fact I'm going to be bumped up to a dispatcher, not a super high position but one with authority, and if I decide to fuck people over and have a good reason no one will argue. One of the main things is to obviously get the customers cars done in a timely fashion, customers being the reason any of us have jobs anyway. Well sales cars need to be inspected in order for the warranties to be valid, a fact many out of the automotive world do not know. Who has to do this inspections, why the techs of course. Who is in charge of getting the techs their work? Soon it will be me. And how many sales assholes have done passive agressive shit in order to get me to do little jobs which make them money and not me. Too many to count. But alas that redheaded guy who they all underestimated and shit on for the last 2 monthes will have them by the balls. "What 3 cars came in today, you sold 2 of them? Oh shit I must have misplaced that paperwork you're going to have to make a new copy for me. Oh you have it, well the techs have left for the evening, it will be done in the morning." New lesson folks, just because someone is in a low position does not mean they will be there forever, in fact they may have just taken that job because they really needed it, or like me used it to springboard themselves into a higher position.
