You know.. I started out doing boudoir photography because I kept seeing girls from my small hometown go to places like San Antonio and Amarillo and pay a grand or more, come home and be disappointed with the photographers they had gone to because they had 'limits' as to what they would shoot. Now, Im not saying porn, but maybe a little more risqué than the standard laying on a bed shots. I was a photographer, I know I can do that stuff and I started thinking that business would boom because I was MUCH, MUCH cheaper than a thousand dollars. But, I discovered why it sucks to shoot a niche like boudoir in a small town. PEOPLE ARE PRUDES! These are the same people who are all swapping wives, and will show their tits in a bar in front of some of the scum of the Earth and allow those pictures to show up all over Facebook. But, taking classy boudoir? Suddenly they're all SAINTS. The girls I have had a chance to shoot have been awesome and they like what I can do. But, Holy Shit if Im not progressing like I had hoped, and its frustrating as hell most days. I thought Id be booked wall to wall, especially during summer wedding season and into Valentines Day.. But, no. I read about photogs in big cities and all the shoots they do for big money, and here I am wishing I could make the cash to cover Christmas gifts without digging into my paycheck from my REAL job. Am I jealous, fuck yes I am. So, if youre ever in the Oklahoma Panhandle, Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Southwest Kansas or Wichita areas and want to make my day, and Ill make you a great deal.. Get in touch.

Ugh!!! I hear ya bud. That sounds pretty typical of small town situations...they assume the city talent is better--it often is, at least more reputable. But the cost of that means overlooking amazing local talent right at home! I've never been but I'll be sure to hit you up if I ever go through that town....you do the same if you come to Chicago!

Unfortunately I'm a city guy stuck in small town hell. I have to go to Oklahoma City from time to time just so the small town mentality doesn't depress me too bad.
