Man, for some reason I'm missing highschool....more specifically, the end of 9th grade and the beginning of 10th grade....where I would go to my first few classes, then at lunch ditch campus to go eat the best ever green/pork burritos at this little taqueria off campus....then, since I was already off campus, I would just go ahead and stay ditched...I would walk downtown to the best thriftstore ever...The American Way....It was a 3 story GIANT thriftstore, you could spend hours litterally looking around in there....I would do this until I had at least an armful of badass thrift store stuff, and then I would go across the street to the little coffee shop called Chaos coffee(this was in the early 90's right before starbucks took over the world, and little eceletic coffee shops actually existed), where I would get either a regular cap or an iced italian soda, and sit on vintage couches, listening to whatever badasss music they had on and smell inscense burning while I looked over my finds from the thrift store and chatted w/ my friends about how much I didn't wanna go home......
.....Those were the days, but oh, how I believed they were the worst! I wish so bad I could just go back to how things were then....back to how carefree life was.....I also wish I had the energy to spend hours in a thriftstore...or that I even knew where any of the good ones are...I hate these "re-sale" shops they have now, like Buffalo Exchange and the such....They suck, they take away the joy of finding that special find at a true thrift store...plus they are soooo expensive.....Anyway, I don't live in that town anymore, and even if I did, The American Way, and Chaos coffee no longer exist....they both got bought out somewhere between my junior and senior year...

Hey you can go to the Brazil, I know it's gotten popular but still......and there is the bluebird thift store by the HSPVA. We do have this stuff in town. Unfourtunatly that won't bring back the angst ridden and strangly carefree days of yore. Just currious, I don't think I've every seen you say why you moved to Houston. May I ask why?

When the Brazil started it was a coffee shop although you might not know it now. HSPVA is the High School For The Performing Arts. It's in the montrose area. You would be amazed at how many strange and unusual places there are in Houston when on the surface it seems a little bland.
