had my first day of drill with my new reserve company. the guys there are really laid back and cool and it seems to be a good unit.....

then the bomb..........

we all find out that our division is deploying to iraq. i guess it was an "if" question before, now it's an "when" question. luckily all i'll be doing there is training the new iraqi army not doing patrols and shit like that. i haven't even told my family yet and i'm sort of afraid to do that. i'm not going right now but it's definetely coming. what really sucks is that it's an 18 month deployment so i'll have to quit school for that long and find a place for all of my stuff. then when i get back i have to find a place to live and get back into a school mindset. well i'll keep everyone updated when i find things out
